CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 19, 2018

The Wellington City Council met at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 for a special meeting.

The agenda for the special meeting was to discuss and vote on Ordinance 2018-09 An Ordinance Prohibiting Dangerous And Exotic Animals Within the City of Wellington, Missouri, Insurance Renewal quote from Mike Keith Insurance and an update on the lagoon project.

In attendance was Mayor Richard Peterson, Council members: Wm. Roy Barker, A. Kent Rogge, Dave Russell, City Collector Mark Schroer, Chief of Police Joshua Coen and Clerk Sharon Barker. There were no visitors present. Councilman Randy Florence was on a speaker phone for the meeting.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Richard Peterson at 7:00 p.m.

Councilman Barker made a motion to approve the agenda seconded by Russell. Roll call vote. Motion carried 4-0. Councilman Barker aye, Florence aye, Rogge aye and Russell aye.

After discussion the first reading of Ordinance 2018-09 “An Ordinance Prohibiting Dangerous And Exotic Animals Within The City Of Wellington, Missouri” was read. Motion was made by Councilman Barker and seconded by Russell to approve the Ordinance. Roll call vote. Motion carried 4-0. Councilman Barker aye, Florence aye, Rogge aye and Russell aye.

Second reading of Ordinance 2018-09 “An Ordinance Prohibiting Dangerous And Exotic Animals Within The City Of Wellington, Missouri” was read. Motion was made by Rogge and seconded by Russell to approve the ordinance. Roll call vote. Motion carried 4-0. Councilman Barker aye, Florence aye, Rogge aye and Russell aye.

Mayor Peterson stated the soil samples were obtained and Jim Ross from Bartlett and West will contact us with the results.

After discussion a motion was made by Florence and seconded by Councilman Barker to approve the Insurance quote from Mike Keith Insurance presented by Ken Gassen on November 12, 2018. Roll call vote. Motion carried 4-0. Councilman Barker aye, Florence aye, Rogge aye and Russell aye.

As there was no further business Florence made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilman Barker. Roll call vote. Motion carried 4-0. Wm. Roy Barker aye, Randy Florence aye, A. Kent Rogge aye and Dave Russell aye.

The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
